Dear *|FNAME|*,

In just over six months, we will be announcing the launch of the Harlem Arts Festival, and we're thrilled that you are a part of our efforts from the beginning. This newsletter is the first monthly announcement of our progress that you'll be receiving, and we hope you are inspired by what is to come! Read on to learn about our Artist Application that just opened and the upcoming collaborations we're building with our Community Partners. You can also check out photos from our latest event at Nectar Wine Bar where we co-hosted their Wine Down Wednesdays to raise funds for the Festival!

Sincerely,
Chelsea, Neal, & JJ

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
The Artist Application is now open!

We are looking for performing and visual artists to present during a 2-day festival in June 2012 in Marcus Garvey Park. Special preference will be given to artists who are based in Harlem or artists whose word contributes to the artistic dialogue of the community.  Artists can apply by visiting our website where they will be able to find more on the guidelines, requirements, and application questions.

We look forward to receiving your applications!

FESTIVAL PARTNERS
We're thrilled to announce our recent partnerships!
Harlem Arts Festival is, above all else, a community organization. With that in mind, we have forged Community Partnerships with various organizations that are meant to strengthen our joint impact on our friends and neighbors. We're very glad to be able to promote these organizations on our website, and together, we continue to design programs and volunteer opportunities to further these relationships and directly benefit our supporters. Our Community Partners include:

Ballroom Basix
Casa Frela Gallery
Global Tech Prep
Harlem Bienniale
Harlem Park to Park
Harlem Stage
Heath Gallery
Hip Hop Theater Festival
Of Note Magazine
Rotary International

You can learn more about them by following the links above, or visiting the Community Partners page of our website!
RECENT EVENTS
Harlem Arts Festival recently co-hosted Wine Down Wednesdays at Nectar Wine Bar, which raised almost $300 for Park Permit fees! We had a wonderful evening making new friends of the Festival and enjoying Nectar's delicious wines and appetizers. Thanks to photographer David Brown, you can see photos of the event on our Facebook page!

If you couldnt't make it out, don't worry! You can still show your support by making a donation online, and keep an eye out for future events!

Coming Up Next...

We are continuing to build momentum for the festival and are always looking for team members to donate their time and expertise! If you're interested working with us to launch the Festival, please be in touch!
