REMINDER: Our indoor worship continues to require all participants remain masked and observe social distancing throughout the worship service. Opportunites to socialize unmasked are available outdoors before and after the service.

Church News and Notes

We are looking for volunteers to help at our 9:30AM Sunday worship services.

Please help us resume our Sunday morning worship tradition of fresh flowers on the altar!
Here’s how it works:

1.Sign-up on the calendar in the narthex (next to the water fountain).
2.Write your name next to any open date to sponsor the flowers that day.
3.You’ll receive an invoice for the flowers prior to your desired date. We do the ordering.
4.Take your flowers home after the Sunday service.

For the first time in a year, the Christ In Our Home devotion books for next quarter are available at church in both the regular and large print editions. Please help yourself, and pick up a copy for a friend. If you are unable to get to Mt Carmel, contact the church office and ask MaryAnn to mail one to you.

Permits are expected to be issued soon with construction scheduled to begin by the end of July. The first items on the list for the construction crew will be building the new driveway from Fredericks Street to the upper lot, and adding a perimeter fence for safety. The upper lot will be available for Mt. Carmel parking when needed.

We will keep you fully updated throughout the process, so keep your eyes on the Vistas for news and photos.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Please stop by our Drive-Thru Food Drive on July 10. If you're unable to come by, you may place donations in the shopping cart on Sunday mornings. Every single item makes a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters at Iglesia Santa Cruz.

Mt. Carmel delivers weekly donations from Whole Foods to Iglesia Santa Cruz in Santa Maria!

Top Picture: Pr. Esteban takes in the view of all the food donated by Whole Foods. Every available space in MaryAnn's car was filled with donations on our first Friday pick up.

Bottom picture: All of the boxes in the Santa Cruz kitchen. The donations of meat, produce, and bakery items came to approximately 800 pounds on this trip. Members from Santa Cruz arrived shorlty after delivery to separate the food into bags for distribution to individuals and families.

The donation amount from Whole Foods will vary each week. Please contact MaryAnn in the church office if you would like to help with this weekly program.

Please do not route your food bank donations through Mount Carmel. Doing so will delay your donation and make tracking the matching funds challenge donations difficult for the food bank.
