It looks like another rainy Saturday. But no worries, we've got you covered. Don't sweat the storm, come here and shop local food in comfort!

Our year-round farmers market is open Saturdays 9am to 1pm on Sims Ave in Providence, beside the Woonasquatucket River & Greenway. Our vendor lineup changes seasonally. This summer we have indoor/outdoor vendors and seating, depending on weather.
Sorry, pets are not allowed inside. This market accepts cash, credit/debit, WIC, SNAP/EBT, and Bonus Bucks.

As of July 1, masks are required for all unvaccinated customers, staff, and vendors. Sampling, eating, and drinking are permitted both inside and outside. If you are unvaccinated, we kindly remind you to please wear a mask unless eating or drinking. Please do not walk around the market without a mask on.

The Steel Yard Art Market
Last week we were so very happy to offer our neighbors The Steel Yard a nice spot indoors for their Art Market, which was scheduled to take place outside. What a great time we had! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy local food and local art with us! Photo: Leigh Vincola of Farm Fresh is all smiles with Dave and Chris from The Steel Yard.

Order Mondays and Thursdays for the freshest local food via curbside pickup or home delivery. Local berries are in full swing — order gooseberries, blueberries, currants, raspberries, and more from great local farms like Ward's Berry Farm.
|
|
Market Mobile is like shopping at the farmer market online. Select all the local food you'd like from over 100 farmers and makers, then choose curbside pickup at our headquarters in Providence or home delivery to Providence, Pawtucket, East Bay, and Newport.

We are proud to be honored by Grow Smart Rhode Island as an Outstanding Smart Growth Project for our new headquarters, farmers market space, and hub for local food in Providence. Check out this wonderful short video they made about us.

By incorporating numerous smart growth principles, Farm Fresh RI has breathed new life into a 3+ acre former Brownfields site that was once an industrial and manufacturing stronghold in Providence. By re-purposing the site, their efforts have transformed a decaying urban eyesore into a catalyst for the revitalization of the Woonasquatucket River corridor. Affordable access to fresh and nutritious, locally grown produce is enhanced by Farm Fresh programs that double the buying power of SNAP recipients at farmer’s markets. This project strengthens our region’s food system and helps to ensure the health and long-term sustainability of area farms.

Staff Spotlight
Meet Leigh Vincola, Director of Advancement

What made you want to work at Farm Fresh? I've been working in the field of food systems since before the term "food systems" existed. When I moved to Rhode Island, it seemed like the natural place to plug in.
What television or book series are you into right now? Desperately waiting for the next season of Insecure on HBO. In the meantime I'm enjoying Betty.
What is your favorite Rhode Island tradition? Making holiday wreaths under twinkly lights in the Lucayda Farm greenhouse.
What are you looking forward to most post-pandemic? Not being short staffed.
What's your favorite season in RI, and why? September. Best beach days. Warm water, low crowds, surf.
What is your favorite thing to order on Market Mobile or purchase at the farmers market right now? ALL. THE. BERRIES.
Do you have any pets? Do they have any skills or tricks you'd like to share? I have one magical kitten named Eiko. She's almost 9 but small and very cute and kinda sassy.

Farmers markets are essential food access points for everyone in our community. We make it easier to find all the farmers markets in Rhode Island, and where you can use SNAP/EBT, WIC, and Bonus Bucks.
