I honestly don’t think this project would be nearly as good if it wasn’t for Khalil working with us. As you have indeed heard from us before the power of poetry in the Arabic language is hard to measure. It moves people in ways other art forms can’t. And it retains the original literary intentions of the book of Job.
As that project continues, brother Khalil has also stretched and expanded our vision in other ways. He has been connecting us with local artists, and we have decided to add an additional animation project that we shared with you in last month's newsletter based on the "Parable of the Sower". One of the reasons for this was Khalil put us in contact with a young man, also in North Africa, who is an award winning artist and really wanted to work on some media arts with us! We weren’t sure about adding him to the bigger project so we decided to see if he could be faithful in the “little things” and as a result he has produced for us 20 to 25 beautiful pieces of artwork for this additional short film. In the process we are learning more about animation, the workflow, the time, resources and energy that it consumes. We feel very much like it’s going to help us streamline and be more efficient with the "Patience of Job" project.
