 Summer Family Meetups
Bring a picnic blanket, maybe a frisbee and your favorite snack, and join other WMS families at Judkins Park for an informal social Monday - Wednesday this week at 4:30 - 6:00. We'll meet up in the north lawn where the school borders the park (near the baseball fields). PTSA will provide snacks and beverages.
New families, this is a good opportunity to meet others in a small group setting. Returning families, we look forward to finally reconnecting in person. All families are welcome to attend any of the meetup dates, but we tried to group each day by grade level to keep the event smaller and more intimate. See the calendar below. Hope you can make it!

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
WMS PTSA needs YOU for the upcoming school year. We're looking for a bi-weekly eNews Editor, Events Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Fundraising Chair, Membership Chair, Legislative Chair and Translation Coordinator.
Weekly eNews Editor: Help keep families informed. Compile news and events into a MailChimp template and send out every two weeks.
Events Coordinator: Be a liaison between school Admin & PTSA to help support school-wide events.
Volunteer Coordinator: Work with the Events Coordinator to find and organize volunteers.
Fundraising Chair: Help come up with a fundraising plan and messaging so we can hit our goal for the year.
Membership Chair: Enter new members into the database,
Legislative Chair: Follow news out of Olympia and keep everyone up to date on what's going on with educational funding and other initiatives.
Translator Coordinator: Reach out to our team of translators when we have events or materials needing translation.
All volunteer roles can be shared, so grab a friend to help or we can partner you with someone. Most of the work can be done from home. Check out the new WMS Library Resource webpage for wonderful summer reading lists and helpful links to access books. WMS library will be closed this summer due to building renovations (earthquake retrofitting), but you can check out books at the Seattle Public Library.
