Playing with Slow Stitching
Saturday July 24, 9:45 - 12:30 or
Monday July 26, 12:00 - 2:30
The dates were correct in my first announcement of this Play-Shop, but the subject line said August rather than July. Guess I shouldn't try to be productive when the temp is so close to 100 degrees!
Come join me in a couple weeks for fun and relaxing adventures in Slow Stitching! This is a popular art form right now, especially for 'visible mending,' inspired by the Japanese art of boro; decorative patching born out of necessity. We'll touch on traditional practical mending and darning skills, then expand into more creative play, including working on hand-made paper and old postcards. I have lots of materials for you to play with. See below for some examples.
You do not need to know how to sew to come to this Play-Shop! As always, no experience is necessary, and materials are included.
Cost is $25, and scholarships are available if needed.
Because this takes place in our home, at this point I request that only fully vaccinated folks come to the group Play-Shop. If you're not vaccinated and would like to do this, let me know and we'll schedule a private one for the same price!
Please contact Janet to register:
