Emmanuel, You are God with us. We ask that You frequently bring us together with other believers throughout Epiphany so that we might enjoy each other and experience Your miracles together. We pray this in Jesus’s name.

Please pray with J and M for more opportunities to connect with Selah and Ahmed. •Please pray against spiritual warfare, specifically in the form of slander. •Pray for Najib and his wife to give their lives to Jesus. •Pray for our new teammates to learn Arabic and French quickly. •Pray for Ramzi’s wife and kids to believe and for him to start a Bible study in his home. •Please keep praying for reconciliation for Andrea and Lina. •Please keep praying for grace as we continue to adjust to being a family of four. •Please pray for more couples like Nadia and Arafat to be brought on our path.

GROUP OF THE DAY

The Rathawa people dictate much of how they live their lives based on superstition and fear of evil spirits. Would you join us in praying for one worker to go to the Rathawa people in Pakistan and show them the power of the name of Jesus?

The Hindu Rathawa people have some unusual practices regarding where they build their homes. They won't build homes near a tamarind tree since they think these are haunted by spirits. Instead, they like their settlements to be near a grove of palm trees. Their houses usually have no windows, and they build their houses on elevated ground to prevent flooding.

Ministry Obstacles
God's Word is not available in the Rathawi language. No other gospel resources, such as recordings, radio programs, or tracts are available in their language. God's Word in Rathawi will someday make a big impact on the community, but that day has not yet come.

Outreach Ideas
Rathawas are generally friendly with outsiders. Their way of honoring guests is by serving them food in their kitchen. This would be a great time for believers to tell stories of Jesus!

"For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants."  Isaiah 44:3

Pray that this blessing will soon reach today’s people group.

Prayer Focus
Pray for Rathawa believers to be filled with the fruit and the power of the Holy Spirit so they can live victorious lives. Pray for workers to go to the Rathawa people, and for their hearts to be ready to receive their savior. Pray for a chain reaction of families reaching families that results in thousands of new believers who share their faith with others until the gospel is well established in their communities in both India and Pakistan.
