Welcome to End in Mind's

Strokeland

New This Week:
A book about life as a caregiver · Questions to ask a grieving friend ·
Good days will come again · Death as a challenge
Fifteen years ago, Lynette Lamb’s life was forever altered when her husband suffered a severe stroke at age 45. Lamb, a longtime magazine editor, was forced to step into a role she never expected—working full-time and managing all aspects of the household while caring for her two children and supporting her husband through months of rehabilitation. Her new book, "Strokeland," sounds excellent, and we're adding it to our reading list! MinnPost did a great interview with her that provided an accurate glimpse of the challenges associated with life as a caregiver.  Read interview
We love these questions to use to check in with your grieving friends other than asking how they are doing.  [Graphic by Good Grief.]
This is such a sweet and lovely reminder when we’re facing the tough stuff of life. Some days are really, really hard, but the good ones will come again.
Have you ever thought of death this way? We like the reminder to not leave anything unsaid.

End in Mind takes the universal experience of dying to help you re-imagine what it means to live fully at any stage of life.

Sitting with Grief: Healing Sound Bath, Thursday, Aug. 26

Sound and vibration can be a powerful access point for engaging with the emotions associated with grief. They allow us to process and understand ideas and feelings that are often hidden beyond our logical minds. Join Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis from 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26 to be guided through a powerful and meditative sound bath, which will draw you into a deep stillness where you can more easily experience and navigate the feelings that are being held. The cost is $10 in advance, or $15 at the door.
