On Saturday September 11th 2021, acclaimed guitarist, songwriter and composer GARY LUCAS celebrates 40 years of innovative music with an all-star show at NYC’s LE POISSON ROUGE. Lucas will perform solo, in duo format, and with his longtime jazz-rock supergroup GODS AND MONSTERS, featuring ERNIE BROOKS (Modern Lovers) bass, JERRY HARRISON (Talking Heads) keyboards, BILLY FICCA (Television) drums, and JASON CANDLER (Hungry March Band) sax..

Special guests include THURSTON MOOR (Sonic Youth) guitar, and vocalists RICHARD BARONE, FELICE ROSSER and EMILY DUFF>

And just added: TRIXIE WHITLEY, who will perform JEFF BUCKLEY AND GARY LUCAS’S “GRACE”

The show runs from 8pm to 10pm.  Doors are at 7pm

Super comedian MARC MARON just spun two tracks from Gary’s “Gary Lucas Plays Bohemian Classics” LP on his Instagram show yesterday, the first two movements of Dvorak’s “From the New World” 9th Symphony arranged for National steel guitar by Lucas, which made for good background music while Marc wrassled with his cats.

Lucas recorded the album live solo acoustic at the Czech Embassy in DC a few years ago to celebrate the 14th Anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.

This single is part of his new project, "Le Beast Concrète", prelude to the album "Gargoyle" which will be released on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
