Catholic Schools

1. Sadly, we say good-bye to our friend Terri Fewel in the Office for Catholic Schools.

Terri has been in our office a short time, but it spanned the pandemic from beginning through our many months of COVID regulations. At the end of the month, Terri will retire, and we will miss her very much! Thank you, Terri, for the gift of love you gave to schools and to their leaders every day through your thorough research and statewide connections. We are eternally grateful.

 2. I am very happy to introduce Mrs. Pam Schwartz as the recently hired Assistant Superintendent

for Personnel and Leadership Development. Pam has been in education for 25 years. She spent 18 years teaching middle school ELA, in both public and Catholic schools. For the last seven years, she has served as principal at St. Catherine School in Seattle. Her educational accomplishments include a master’s degree in teaching, a master’s degree in educational leadership, and she is currently studying for her Ph.D. in education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and working in the yard. Pam is excited to embark on this new journey of her career and looks forward to working with all of you. We are excited to have Pam join our hard-working team in the Office for Catholic Schools as of July 1.
