“Cyclers see considerably more of this beautiful world than any other class of citizens. A good bicycle, well applied, will cure most ills this flesh is heir to”
I hope you were able to get some good rides in this past week despite the rain. Even though Sunday dawned with the threat of rain, the Lake Simcoe Ride was great (as usual) and included a personal distance record for at least one rider.
This week, the forecast is more promising. Sign up for the group rides using the buttons below. (There is more information about each one at the links at the bottom of this email).
Tuesday Night Learn to Ride in a Group (& then some...)
If you have been wanting to do more riding, but have been a little hesitant about group rides, the Tuesday Night Ride is the perfect introduction. It’s open to all levels and the ride leader will help you get more comfortable riding in a group.
But this ride also includes some extra challenges for those who want to push themselves a bit harder. It also follows the same 38 km route each week so you can track your improvement over the season. Check out the webpage for more information.

(but if you don't sign up, you can still come, just add your name afterwards)
Many thanks to Maj.-Gen. John Graves Simcoe, the founder of York (later known as Toronto) and the first lieutenant-governor of Upper Canada in 1791, for giving us a long weekend to get in another day of riding. Happy Simcoe Day!
