  • Beverly Larson   (Charlotte branch President and new Public Policy Chair for AAUW  NC)
  • Nicole Sherrill-Corry   (Salisbury branch President)
These women join the other members of the board:  Kathy Pearre, Vice-President; Wendy Haner, Treasurer; Janet Bunger, Branch Advocate; Adrienne Stuckey, Secretary; Christi Whitworth, STEM Chair; Mary Ann Bents, Connect Editor; and Jane Terwillegar, Past President.

On June 26th the board met in person in Salisbury for a planning meeting discussing state priorities for this year, which include:
  • Enhancing communication and collaboration between the state board and branches as well as between branches
  • Exploring the concepts of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and how they might be incorporated into our board and branch focuses
  • Defining measurable goals based on the AAUW 5 Star Program recognition criteria and the AAUW Strategic Plan 2.0 priorities
The state board members and I look forward to more fully supporting branches as jointly determined.  Watch for more details in the monthly newsletter Connect and on aauwnc.org
