Do you battle with comparison?
Be honest.
It’s a struggle for most of us, isn’t it? To one degree or another.

Comparing can sneak up on us when we least expect it. Maybe it's someone else’s leadership position? Maybe wishing you preached, looked, and had someone else’s style or success? Why have they got an opportunity that you yourself long for, or feel you deserve?

Whatever the root or reason of comparison, it's utterly toxic for our lives and utterly toxic for our leadership. It keeps us self-focused, rather than God-focused.

So how do we avoid co-operating with comparison in any form? How can we get free? Here are 5 points of how to avoid the comparison trap in leadership.

Amy Summerfield
CEO Kyria Network

For the last twelve months Kyria has been highlighting some of the most significant leaders we’ve never heard of. These women represent just a sprinkling of the millions of female leaders who have changed their worlds for the better and then faded into the vast expanse of oblivion that history reserves for the stories of female heroes.

It’s been such a privilege to oversight this weighty project. Not weighty because it was onerous, but weighty with great value, because investigating women who were responsible for transforming their communities, changing laws about women in business, in education, in politics, in church, and in medicine is a massive privilege. Hidden Figures has given us all a wonderful opportunity to be challenged and inspired by the lives of women we previously never knew existed.

Our thanks to all contributors who resourced and wrote Hidden Figures with a special thanks to Bev Murrill who facilitated and drew so much of it together.

We want prayer to be the foundations of all that Kyria does. We long to hear from God and see what He can do when we humble ourselves before Him and pray.  We also need Him to cover our work with His protection and blessing.  There is a beautiful verse in Psalm 91 that says “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge”.  From under that canopy of gentleness, strength and power, we see God move.

This is where the idea of the Prayer Canopy has been birthed.  We would like to bring a small group of people together who will commit to pray for Kyria.  We want to bring the team, the events and all aspects of what Kyria is doing under the canopy.

If this is something that you feel you would like to commit to then please let us know by contacting info@kyrianetwork.com. Tell us about yourself and how you believe God might be leading you into this important development in the life and work of Kyria.
