We hope you are having fun with Summer Reading 2021! If you have reached your goal, stop by the Children’s Library and choose your prize book. There are books for all ages and we even have some bonus books this summer. We also have our Anacortes Public Library Super Reader signs. Bring your bingo reading sheet with you so we can enter you into the Grand Prize Drawing, too.
Prize Books will be available throughout August so there is plenty of time to reach your goal.
Grand Prize Drawings
We have some wonderful grand prizes this year for every age group. They include ways for you to get creative and explore books! Special thanks to our friends at Island Optometry for sponsoring the grand prizes for Summer Reading 2021!
Remember the more bingos you complete on your reading log the more chances you have to win a grand prize. Enter throughout August and the winners will be notified on September 8th.
Teens – Yoga in the Park
Wednesday, August 4th 3:00pm - Causland Park
Join yoga instructor Liz Lovelett for a fun, all-levels yoga class in Causland Park on Wednesday, August 4 at 3pm. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring your own mat if you like. Open to all middle and high school students.
Halfway Prizes
Halfway Prizes will also be available throughout August. We look forward to hearing about your summer of reading, exploring, and getting creative! If you’re just getting started on Summer Reading, visit us whenever you are ready.
Virtual Programs
You can find all of the virtual programs from Summer Reading 2021 on our Facebook page and on our website. Tune in to watch any that you missed, or watch your favorites again. There are storytimes, STEM classes, and Be Creative sessions. Happy viewing.
EXPLORE ART...
Our Circle Art project is growing on the library window. Have you contributed yet? You can get a blank Circle Art sheet in the Children’s Library or you can download it from the Summer Reading page on the website. Get creative and draw one or more pieces. Return your finished creation to the Children’s Library when you are finished. Ria is adding all the circles to the front windows in library – take a look on your next visit. We look forward to seeing your contribution.
