Crosspoint's Elevate class for 6th graders will return at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 1. Not only will there be a new group of students, but Heather Blenden will now be the Elevate teacher.
Blenden brings a longtime love of kids. She spent 19 years in public education as a teacher and administrator and serving as principal of Hope Academy the past 3 years. She also served as a children's church program director and youth leader before moving to Crosspoint.
"I have worked with children of all ages my entire life, and I look forward to helping the Elevate students grow closer to God, gain confidence in His abilities and love, and to know that He knows them and has great plans for each of them," Blenden said.
At Camp Create, Blenden served as the group leader for the 5th graders - about 23 of them - who are now able to attend Elevate. "I loved getting to know the kids at Camp Create, and I am super pumped to see them all again on Sunday!"
Elevate meets each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the trailer just outside the door at the end of CP Kids Hall.
