The Word is Out Open Mic Poetry
Join us online via Zoom on the last Tuesday of the month for The Word Is Out Open Mic Poetry aka TWIO. Our next event is Tuesday, August 31 from 6:45 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. This month’s feature writer is Renie Andrews and the optional theme is "Why We Need Stories." Open Mic readers are welcomed to read three to five minutes of their own or others' work following the feature. We share our truths, jokes, and fish stories in verse, song, or prose. Image rich and powerful, this is a community of writers who meet to support and appreciate each other. The word is out!
The event is co-sponsored by the Forsyth County Public Library and Winston-Salem Writers. For more information email thewordisoutopenmic@gmail.com.
