Everyday Faith

In one of our latest videos, Sarah, who works in leather craft, says she connects with God most when she is outdoors.

#EverydayFaith encourages us to explore what it means to be a Christian every day of the week – not just for a short time when we are in church on Sundays. People from across the Diocese of Derby are recording their chats and sharing them with us.

Parish events

With the easing of restrictions, parishes are starting to organise festivals, fetes and much more.

Individual events are not listed in eNews, but you can see the ones we know about here.

And don't forget to send us details of your parish event!

Anti-Social Behaviour Grant

Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster has unveiled details of a new £100k grant scheme designed to enable voluntary and community groups to tackle anti-social behaviour. The funding will support projects aiming to prevent problems developing in the first place as well as those that help to reassure residents and make them feel safer.

Bouncing Forward Book

The Big Church Read

The 4th Big Church Read takes place from 8 Sept - 17 Nov, with the book 'Bouncing Forwards' by Patrick Regan.

In the book, Patrick draws on his own journey of making peace with his on-going anxiety, to look honestly and vulnerably at the temptation to wait for the day when all will be well whilst missing out on what’s happening in the here and now.

This is a great activity for parish groups to get involved, or you might prefer to take part individually.
