For the Fall 2021 semester, Brown requires COVID-19 vaccines for all students who will be on campus or engaged in any level of in-person instruction, whether in the U.S. or abroad. Remind your students that they will need to receive their final dose and upload their vaccination card by Aug. 1, 2021. Students can learn more about how to share their vaccination information quickly and securely at healthy.brown.edu/vaccinations/verify.

Announcements & Reminders

End of essential designation process; faculty and staff free to return to campus
All Brown faculty and staff who were previously not enrolled in the testing program (i.e., were classified as "limited" or "remote") are free to return to campus and their offices but must continue to comply with the COVID-19 Campus Safety Policy, including participating in testing if directed to do so.

This 1764 Bill of Lading for the slave ship Sally is from the Brown Family Business Records collection at the John Carter Brown Library. It is one of many historical documents accessible online through the First Readings digital edition of the Slavery and Justice Report.
For second consecutive year, First Readings will examine Brown’s historical ties to the slave trade
Incoming undergraduates in the Class of 2025 will read a digitized version of the pioneering Slavery and Justice Report, the selected text for the First Readings program for the second year.

Movement and Mobility Yoga

These virtual classes incorporate yoga-like movements to increase your mobility, or how your body moves doing everyday things. Join Jessie Dwiggins to learn functional movements to improve your joint range of motion and posture while alleviating some everyday tweaks and twinges.

Time to Quit
Thursday, July 29th, 12-1PM
Tobacco cessation can significantly reduce the risk of suffering from smoking-related diseases. Smokers can and do quit smoking. In fact, today there are more former smokers than current smokers. Join BCBSRI for a seminar that will support those that are contemplating a quit date.
