In today's Rider Spotlight, Sam catches up with Andrew Morris, a Fort Collins based junior rider who trains with a couple of dozen fast kids on the Ciclismo Racing team and has dreams of racing Cross Country World Cups and maybe even the Olympics. Last September, at just 14 years old, he finished 16th in the U23 category at The APEX. Now 15, Andrew just won his first National Championship in the Freshman category of USA Cycling’s High School Festival. He's definitely one to watch. So, start now!

Becky Mikrut brings The BEET in this episode. Following her recent debut in the Women's Pro XC race just a couple of weeks ago in Winter Park, Colorado at USAC National Championships, Becky is taking bit of a post-XCO season rest before readying herself for The APEX! September will be her first time at The APEX and her first time in any kind of stage event, but her background as a cycling coach has helped her shape a solid roadmap. Watch as she shares her plans to smash it in September! 

The Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance launched a collaborative community campaign last month to encourage those enjoying outdoor recreation in the Pikes Peak region to respect both the resources and one another. The region, along with the rest of the Colorado front range, has experienced significant growth in outdoor recreation use over the past several years, and the pandemic has magnified this growth and created many new recreational users. PPORA brought together land managers, industry and community partners to focus on education and awareness to help minimize these impacts through a collaborative campaign, the central focus of which is Leave No Trace principles.
