The Outcomes Star is an evidence-based tool for supporting and measuring change

Welcome to Triangle’s July 2021 newsletter

2020/2021 been a rich and interesting time at Triangle. We have a lot of news to share. In 2020 we quickly settled into delivering remote training, supporting services to use the Outcomes Star and migrated all clients to our advanced new Star Online platform. 2021 has presented opportunities to take forward new ideas and re-engage with plans put on hold in 2020.

We have been talking, listening, writing and publishing.  Including, a major think piece on service delivery, several blogs, new Stars, new edition Stars and new resources. We are also progressing long-planned reviews of major Stars, to ensure the Stars are even more trauma-informed, strengths based and relevant.

NEW whitepaper: How can social provision achieve more?

We know many people with chronic issues and complex needs are not well served by current provision. However, twenty years of synthesised front-line practitioner wisdom has uncovered the six fundamental principles of effective help.
Our Enabling Help Report written by Joy Mackeith, co-founder and strategic director for Triangle, outlines why a rethink of the ideas that drive the service delivery system is essential.  It shows how a new set of ideas can unlock the potential in research, policymaking, commissioning and the way services are delivered and managed. Carers Star Flashcards: for young carers

In March, we introduced new Flashcards for young carers and young adult carers. These are designed to work alongside the existing Carers Star and some of the wording has been altered to make it more relevant and accessible for young people.

We have also recently published a set of flashcards to be used with the Victim of Crime Star.

Justice Star: Trauma informed language enhancements

In October 2020 we published edition 1.2 of the Justice Star, with some of the language adjusted to be even more trauma informed. All clients who use the Justice Star or work in the sector were emailed with information about the updates but do check you are using the latest edition.

Youth Star 2:  New edition

We published Edition 2 of the Youth Star in May 2021.  The Youth Star is designed to support services working with young people in the youth work and community sectors and the new edition responds to service provider feedback over several years.

Learn about the changes and how organisations can transition to the edition 2.
