Walker Family Supports Canada Summer Games partnership

Community leaders heard the Canada Games Park represents a tremendous collaboration of many levels of government including the City of Thorold in co-ordination with Brock University as well as financial support from the Walker family.
An announcement was made recently on an investment made by the Walker family that will see the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre in the 
Canada Games Park named in their honour.  Read more 
In a presentation on Monday, July 19 Interim Brock University President Lynn Wells also announced that the entry plaza at the 210,000-square-foot Canada Games Park will be named the Walker Founders Plaza. 
The
Canada Games Park is located on the Brock campus property in Thorold and is projected to stimulate substantial economic and cultural benefits for our community..
