Dear Berklee Families,

We are gearing up for the fall semester and look forward to welcoming students to campus. We have an exciting lineup planned for orientation and Welcome Week, which all students (not just entering students) can attend—especially those who haven’t been to our Boston campus before. Welcome Week offers many opportunities for your students to meet or reconnect with classmates and get to know Boston.

As a reminder, all students at our Boston campus must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before coming to campus this fall (i.e., two weeks after their final vaccine dose). This vaccination requirement is an essential component of our plan to keep our community healthy this fall.

If your student has not yet gotten vaccinated or submitted their vaccination record, please encourage them to do so as soon as possible.

Students who submit their vaccination record after the deadline (August 1 for residential students and August 15 for commuter students) may not be able to access campus at the start of the semester and are at risk of being deregistered and unable to enroll for the fall semester, or losing their on-campus housing.

Accepted Vaccines

If your student has received a complete series of any vaccine, whether it is FDA- or WHO-approved or not, they will be permitted to move-in or access the campus. However, if they have received a vaccine that is not authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO (e.g., Sputnik), we strongly encourage them to consider getting a vaccine that is authorized for emergency use by the FDA after arriving on campus. We also encourage students to sign up for one of the three vaccination clinics to be held in August by July 30 to discuss medical recommendations for their unique circumstance.

How to Get Vaccinated

If your student is in Massachusetts, use this tool to find out where they can get vaccinated for free.

If your student is outside of Massachusetts, use this tool to find out where they can get vaccinated for free.

If your student lives outside of the United States, they may be attending a vaccination clinic that we are offering for international students in partnership with Tufts Medical Center. You can find more information for international students on this page.

How to Submit a COVID-19 Vaccination Record

  • If your student entered Berklee in the summer of 2019 or later, they have a Magnus Health account. They can log in to that account to submit their proof of COVID-19 vaccination under the "Berklee Immunization Form and COVID-19 Vaccine Documentation" requirement.
  • If your student entered Berklee in the spring of 2019 or before and does not have a Magnus Health account, they can email their proof of COVID-19 vaccination to healthandwellness@berklee.edu.

Learn More

You can learn more about the COVID-19 vaccination requirement here, and about other immunizations here.

Please help us ensure that all students are ready to join their classmates on campus on day one by strongly encouraging them to get vaccinated and submit their record as soon as possible.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your students and support them in their development and exploration.

Sincerely,

Christopher Kandus-Fisher, Ed.D.
Vice President of Student Affairs
