17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

Love working with young children?  Know someone who does?  Here's a chance to help our little ones learn about the love of God in their lives.  We need teaching assistants at all levels (1-yr-old thru Kindergarten) for the upcoming school year.  For more information, call Susie in the school office at 770-973-8921 or email her at susie.glass@faithmarietta.org.

Altar Flowers

Have you noticed the beautiful flowers which grace our altar area each Sunday? Would you like to honor or remember someone or some event?  Please consider giving an arrangement or two.  If you'd like to take them home after the 11am service, please do; otherwise the flowers will be taken to brighten another's day.  Arrangements are $25/ea and you can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409044ca4ad2fa57-altar7

Please consider helping beautify our worship area by donating an arrangement.
Bible Blessings

Have you been looking for a way to connect with the students at Faith Lutheran School? Well, here is your opportunity! We are starting a new program this year called “Bible Blessings”. We are looking for individuals to sponsor each of the 3rd grade students. A $10 donation will be collected from the sponsors to pay for the 3rd graders “grown up” Bible (3rd grade is the first year that students use a “grown up” Bible in class). In addition to purchasing the Bible, the sponsor will be asked to pray for the student they are sponsoring and their family, as well as work on developing a relationship with the student and their family all school year long. Who knows!? This relationship might last long past 3rd grade!  We will be including our sponsors in class activities such as writing letters to them and inviting them to special events! The students will receive their Bibles in church on August 8th at the 11:00 service and we will pray for their learning and growth as a congregation. Following the service there will be a small reception for the 3rd grade families and the sponsors; this will be a chance to meet and start to develop the relationships that will last through the year! If you are interested in being a sponsor, please email Becca Ford at becca.ford@faithmarietta.org.

We still need a couple of families to join us in this very special outreach to our school students and their families.  Remember - the school is a mission of Faith Lutheran Church!  Please pray about helping us with this piece of the mission.

JUST ONE THING

We continue to be amazed with the donations given for this mission project. We are in need of cereals, hygiene items, and school supplies for the next few weeks. We will be supplying these items to the food pantry at the end of July. Thank you so much again, I wish you could all see the smiles on the faces of the recipients and also the volunteers at the food pantry site.

The month of July, since the kids are getting ready to go back to school, we would like to concentrate on collecting toiletry items and school supplies so we can put together back packs as this is so costly for families.

Toiletries Needed:  Bar soap or bath wash, shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste

School Supplies Needed: Colored pencils (12 ct.), composition books, crayons (24 ct.), erasers, glue - liquid and sticks, highlighters, index cards, markers (8 ct.), No. 2 pencils, pens, pocket folders, ruler, spiral single subject notebooks and inexpensive backpacks (Walgreens sometimes runs Buy 1 Get 1 Free on their $9.99 backpacks.

We appreciate your help in keeping this ministry going to help those in our community.

JUST ONE THING - BELOW you will find the sales ads for this week. There are some wonderful ads this week. With school coming to an end for many families that receive breakfast and lunch the need will be great to keep the children fed, as well as many seniors in our community. This week is a great time to stock up on your favorite breakfast item that you would like to share with a family in need! Just remember that JUST ONE THING you would love to share! Also if you would like to take a peek at our “New Food Storage” also known as the bat cave… let me know and I would love to show it to you!!! God’s richest blessings on you and your families!
