“Trail Mix” opens along the Millennium Trail, with Niagara Falls Musicians’ original music free to enjoy

Niagara Falls Culture has created a new avenue for listening to Niagara Falls artists. "Niagara Streams" will be inaugurating this channel with "Trail Mix", 35 of Niagara Falls musicians' original content, including music, spoken word and humour, along the Millennium Trail from Whirlpool Road to McLeod Road.
As hikers take to the trail, they will find 15 QR codes posted by the paths that will, when read by their smart phone's camera, take them to albums of curated music or spoken word. They can just put on their headphones and enjoy the Trail Mix.
While Niagara Streams currently is mostly music placed along the Millennium Trail, Culture division staff are exploring new ways to utilize this channel for various uses like sharing short stories, art or history walks in the city.
“We have a wealth of incredibly diverse and polished musical talent in the Falls,” said Clark Bernat, manager of Culture and Museums, “and we are excited to showcase 35 different bands for the 2021-22 season. We can't wait to see how you enjoy this and how we can add new ways to enjoy the trails in the future”
