Meet A Fluid Power Scholarship Winner

The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation has awarded $2,000 scholarships to students pursuing fluid power technology fields of study. Ben Quade is one of those students. Learn more
Start a Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge Team

The NFPA Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge (FPVC) prompts engineering students to redesign a traditional bicycle using hydraulics as the mode of power transmission. By combining this unlikely pair, the FPVC hopes to create an environment that results in uncommon connections and breakthroughs while supporting learning and the growth of fluid power industry knowledge. Availability to participate in the FPVC is limited, but if your university is interested in participating as a team in the 2021-22 school year, contact Stephanie Scaccianoce, sscaccianoce@nfpa.com.
Start a Fluid Power Club at Your University

NFPA is encouraging university partners to launch an NFPA-supported Fluid Power Club for students at their schools. The goal is to encourage interest and participation in fluid power technologies and to connect students to industry professionals. NFPA will provide each club with a $2,000 stipend to support club activities. For questions, contact Stephanie Scaccianoce, sscaccianoce@nfpa.com.

Call for Grant Applications: Electrical and Data Acquisition and Controls Curriculum

The NFPA University Fluid Power Grant Program will help bring fluid power curriculum into more undergraduate engineering programs across the country. For the 2021-2022 year, NFPA is looking to specifically fund university grant projects that create electrical, data acquisition and controls curriculum that will ultimately be shared on the NFPA Curriculum Tree. The NFPA Foundation will provide up to $8,000 per grant. The application is open now. Contact Amy Zignego with questions.
IFPS Certifications Empower Opportunity

The International Fluid Power Society advances professional careers in the fluid power workforce through education, training and certification. Certification types include hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic controls. Learn more
