Kittyko on the Lawn Performance at Camp Hancock State Historic Site


BISMARCK, N.D. – Camp Hancock State Historic Site is hosting “Kittyko on the Lawn: Dance Party” Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to noon. Camp Hancock is located at 101 East Main Ave. in Bismarck. This free event is open to all ages.

Participants can move, sing, and dance at this program. Local musician Kittyko will sing and play a variety of percussion instruments from around the world for dance and movement. Line dancing, group dancing, and solo dancing/movement will be encouraged. Children will have a chance to join Kittyko on or near the stage for some songs. Participants are encouraged to bring percussion instruments including homemade percussion, such as buckets, boxes, pots, and pans to join in the fun.

Camp Hancock is a historic site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Camp Hancock summer hours are Friday-Sunday, 1-5 p.m. For more information, contact Johnathan Campbell at 701.328.9528.
