We are using Secret Party as our ticketing platform, which may be new to you, but helps us maintain a tree of trust to ensure that the only dinos you meet are nice dinos.
Past participants: You should have received an email from Secret Party entitled "Something Else invited you to Something Else 2021"
New participants: Maybe you met an organizer in person, or heard about Something Else through a friend, or perhaps you found a flier and have held onto it for two years—whatever the reason, if you did not receive a separate SecretParty ticketing email, reply to this email to let us know your situation and a friendly dino will reach out to you.
Ticketed participants who want to invite a friend: Log in to secretparty.io, click on Something Else 2021 under "Attend Events", and scroll to the bottom where it says "Invite Friends". Here's a handy GIF to help you out. You get 2 invites and your friends will too!

All ticketed participants MUST fill out the Registration Form, which handles three verrrrrryyyyyyyy important things:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination—We're vax-serious and will enforce at the gate, so upload your vaccination record now; we'll keep your personal info secure.
Volunteering—You know that thing about the party being inside you all along? This is a people-powered event—join us and make even more nice times for all!
Art—Speaking of nice times, art is pretty nice! Got a project? Tell us in your registration, make sure you answer the "Do you need other help from event organizers?" question, and the Art Gods may give you an Art Grant ✨
Hear ye, hear ye! This year, the Renaissance Faire will descend upon our fair lands faster than a revival of art and literature in the 14–1600s! Egads!
When: Sunday 5:30–8pm
What: vibes, costumes, royalty, peasants, pointy hats, an animal roast, and whatever else you want to bring to make the party happen!
Email Martin if thou haveth extra ren faire energy to bring: town criers, craftspersons, bards, jesters—all shall partake in the merriment!

Vittles
Food is good and everyone likes it! Something Else is sometimes called a "brunch party with swimming and dinosaurs". This year, we've got you covered three ways:
🌮🌯 A taco truck slinging food for cash at most meal times
👩🍳👨🍳 Volunteer teams making meals for the masses at each meal time, including a whole animal roast at Sunday's Ren Faire
🔥⚠️ Space for your personal stove at the central kitchen. Sadly, we can’t let you cook at your campsite because fire season.

Be sure to check out the shift schedule (which is online here) and will also be printed out at the central kitchen on-site. If you have questions about your shift, where to be, what is the nature of the job, please reach out to your volunteam lead. There will probably be an email or two for each volunteer 'job' before the event, and then check in with Tanuki or Lucy if you need help with volunteering on-site. If you need to change your volunteer shift, email us ASAP and let us know.

Got a project and want collaborators? Want to join someone else's project? Have an idea and want an art grant, but unsure what to submit? Join an Informational Art Meet-n-Greet at one of two times this week:
Wednesday August 25 5:30pm–6:30pm PDT
Thursday August 26 6:30pm–7:30pm PDT
Both of these meetings will be on Zoom.
A note about COVID
We’ve been paying attention to similar vax+outdoor events and, while they have all had 1 or 2 cases, there was no spread as a result of the event. We continue to watch news and public health data and for now, our policy stands as is.
