Melbourne Space Program Recruitment
The Melbourne Space Program (MSP) is a student-led not-for-profit dedicated to space and technology projects. In 2019, they became the first Australian student-led team to launch a CubeSat, ACRUX-1, in over 50 years! At the moment, they are looking to recruit highly motivated student volunteers to contribute to the following engineering projects:
- ACRUX-2 - MSP’s second generation nanosatellite to launch into space. ACRUX-2 will be a 3U satellite operating in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), with 2 payloads: an education payload to bring the LEO environment to high school classrooms, and an industry payload. They are currently recruiting for students to contribute and learn valuable experience in the Electrical Power Systems and Communication systems (in orbit + ground station).
- Humanoid Project - the development of an autonomous bipedal humanoid. Through this project you will be able to gain valuable experience programming microcontrollers integrated with electronic hardware, and using a wide range of AI and ML software to create an overall human-like experience.
They welcome applicants from all genders and backgrounds. (e.g. First year bachelors to final year masters students are all welcome)!
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on various engineering systems, as well as be involved in the development of each project as a whole. Each project is student-led and driven, so it is the perfect environment for students to cultivate their passion for engineering and be part of a unique venture! For more info, see their website and apply here.
They will be interviewing applicants on a rolling basis until 11.59pm 6th August (end of week 2). Feel free to reach out to them if you have any other queries at:
