COVID continues to ravage Orange County. While the significant increased number of persons identified as having contracted the Delta variant is among those who are unvaccinated, all of us must remain vigilant by taking all safety precautions. It is time for us to reach out to our family members and friends to encourage them to reconsider getting the vaccine and wearing a mask. Our county is attempting to keep us informed. Please review our Orange County Coronavirus page to stay informed with the most current informationhttps://newsroom.ocfl.net/media-advisories/press-releases/2021/07/coronavirus-updates-6/

County Mayor Jerry Demings said that we’ve now entered “crisis mode”. The county’s positivity rate has been hovering around 14% and even reached 20% on Sunday.

AdventHealth is now in “red status”, meaning it will halt elective surgeries until the numbers relent but the hospital system confirmed that it had necessary resources even if the cases continue to rise.

Demings said there’s no time more urgent than the present to get vaccinated and encouraged Orange County residents to get tested and to mask up, whether they’re vaccinated or not.

The CDC has issued new mask guidance for individuals in substantial or high-transmission areas and K-12 schools.

This is unacceptable in any neighborhood in the City Beautiful! When you see something that belittles our neighborhood, say something.

Thanks to the city and some property owners for working quickly to clean it up.
