The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) are offering a two-day, interactive virtual peer exchange focused on the integration of innovative transportation technologies, including the use of Connected Automated Vehicles (CAV), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

Featuring a broad range of keynote speakers and panelists from every corner of the industry, this two-day peer exchange is an exciting opportunity to glimpse the future of transportation technology.

The event is free and open to the public. Professional development credits are available. Advanced registration is encouraged but not required. Stay tuned for more details on the agenda and speakers.

Widely recognized as one of the most important economic opportunities in state history, the 600 acres of state-owned property in Draper, Utah known as “The Point” will foster innovation, provide parks and open space, support economic growth and enhance Utahns’ quality of life. 
 
Efforts to plan the site kicked off in early 2021 after The Point of the Mountain State Land Authority, the board overseeing the site, selected a world-renown planning firm to create a framework plan. After months of robust technical planning and input from over 10,000 Utahns, The Point Framework Plan has been released. 

The Point Framework Plan reflects what Utahns said they wanted, including an extensive parks and trails system, an Innovation District to catalyze economic opportunity and job generation, a transportation system that prioritizes pedestrians and cyclists, and a balanced mix of land uses that provide retail, entertainment and housing choices.
