I am so excited with the work NRWC is planning going forward because in case you hadn’t heard the NRWC has been funded for a further three years as one of Australia’s six premier Women’s alliances.
This is fantastic, as it allows us to ensure the voices of you, Australia’s Rural Remote and Regional women continue to grow and be heard. It also ensures that opportunities for upskiling, learning, and leadership training continue to be developed and delivered as needs arise and continue to be available through our award winning free or affordable programs and webinars.
The NRWC is continuing to recruit volunteers for the Young Rural Regional Remote Advocacy Panel (YRRRAP) If you are between the ages of 18-30 and want to make a positive difference in Rural, Regional, and Remote Australia?
We are looking for rural women who have a strong commitment to gender equality, have the ability to collaborate within the group, value diverse news, are able to research and write reports, can use social media, and lives in Rural, Remote or Regional Australia.
If you or someone you know needs help, head over to Head to Health website for great, safe and private support. They have all kinds of information on mental health issues, how to help people and help yourself.
WiSA have been busy presenting their C-Leader Program.
The WISA Women in Seafood C-Leaders Online Program has been specifically designed as a Leadership Pathway for women in the seafood industry wishing to improve their leadership and advocacy skills. Learning about your unique leadership style, build confidence in your unique leadership style and learn to work with others with differing technique. The program will also touch on some self care, awareness and limitations as part of a leadership journey. The Women in Seafood C-Leaders Online Program is funded by the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation.
Be sure to head to their web page to find out more about WiSA and their great work within the Women in Seafood Industry.
