Worship This Sunday

For Sunday, August 1, 2021, we'll be starting a new sermon series based on Rev. Dr. Michelle Morris's Gospel Discipleship. Faith is all about the application; scripture tells us faith without works is dead. The Gospel Discipleship helps us understand ourselves and each other better. This week's scripture is Mark 16: 15-18. If you haven't taken the Gospel Discipleship assessment, you can take it HERE.

Pathfinders and Spiritual Journeys will be meeting on Zoom and in-person at 9:15 am. We'll have Virtual Mugs and Hugs at 10:00 am and Worship will start at 10:15 am.

We will be having hybrid online and in-person worship. We look forward to welcoming you either on Zoom or in the Sanctuary.

If Zoom asks you for a password, it is 3601.

Long-time Blakemore member Marge Stanberry passed away last Thursday, July 22. Mark Shephard wrote:

"She was active in the Pathfinders class and Double Nickels, a close friend of my mom, and an avid bridge player with a group of Blakemore ladies. She suffered from dementia in her last years and was a resident at Blakeford, after she had to leave her condo at Wessex Towers. Many at Blakemore will remember Marge, she was a lovely lady with a terrific sense of humor."

According to her son, her remains have been cremated and will be interred at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetary on McCrory Lane. There will be a service at that time and he will let us know when that is scheduled.
Starting Wednesday, August 4, Pastor Amanda will be leading a Bible study based on the Gospel Discipleship series. You can join in-person in the Fellowship Hall at Noon or on Zoom only at 6:00pm. (Se buttons below for Zoom links).
