We are on the cusp of another school year, one we pray will be closer to normal than the past one. As we have clearly seen these past few weeks, the course of the COVID-19 pandemic in Illinois remains unpredictable, especially in light of new COVID-19 variants. Related guidance from public health authorities and experts continues to evolve. Please be assured of our commitment to health and safety and to providing an integrated and balanced perspective to mitigation strategies in the coming school year. As always, the safety and wellbeing of students and school employees continues to be our top priority, which is why we continue to consult with public health, education and civil authorities in updating our operating framework.
