Our Annual Helping Hands event is coming up on August 7! Helping Hands is offered to the community to help supplement needs for the school year and home supplies. If you would like to donate items you can find the shopping list for this year here. If you would like to volunteer please fill out the following form!

1 Peter 2:9

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."

When you stop to think about the number of choices you make in one single day, it is pretty amazing. Sometimes those choices are wise and other times they can be unwise, but you made each choice for a specific reason. The passage above it gives us the specific reason God chose us. It says you were chosen so "that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." This scripture and others like it are where we derive the saying "we were made to worship." There is a peace that abounds when we walk in the purposes and plans God has for us. I pray as we gather together Sunday, we can spur one another on to walk in peace. Here are the songs we will be singing.

Helping our kids understand sex and sexuality is a complicated and sometimes intimidating endeavor. This article from Crossway gives us as parents seven ways to pray practically for our kids to make godly choices when it comes to sex. Happy Thursday Church Family!
Thank you to everyone who attended our Family Lake Day yesterday! There were just over 100 people from GraceLife there to enjoy a day of sun and fellowship! As our boys and girls prepare to head back to school in a couple of weeks we are also working to prepare for the upcoming year of ministry at GraceLife. I am writing to ask if you would prayerfully consider joining our Awana ministry team for this coming year.

• We are in need of volunteers to listen to boys and girls recite verses that they have studied during the week.
• We are also in need of a few volunteers who could help to keep track of the verses recorded and also some people who could greet parents and clubbers each week.
• We are also prayerfully seeking a church member who will be able to teach the three year olds during the 9:30 service beginning on August 15.

If you would be interested in helping in any of these ways or would like more information, please feel free to see me! Finally, please be praying for our 17 boys and girls (and chaperones) who will be attending Centri-Kid next week. Please pray for God to draw them closer to Him and to one another throughout the week. — Pastor Dave

Who doesn’t love a good picnic? We are excited for yet another annual GraceLife picnic which will also honor Pastor Tim and Dawn, bringing light to God’s faithfulness to our church family. Save this important date and plan to join us Sunday, August 29th, after church beginning at 3pm as we celebrate together with our families. This picnic won't be like any other picnic we've ever had so you won't want to miss it!
