Dear <<2. First Name>>,

We are delighted to announce a collaboration with our friends at Nevill Holt Opera in the heart of the Welland Valley in Leicestershire.

We look forward to sharing a future collaboration combining our collection of art within the surrounds of the beautiful Nevill Holt estate enabling visitors to see the fantastic sculptures in the garden.  Everyone on our mailing list will be invited  - watch this space!!

In the meantime you are invited to buy tickets for this years opera festival. Based in Leicestershire this award winning opera festival is being held next month.  By moving the summer festival to August and building a special stage and seating infrastructure outside, Nevill Holt Opera can welcome more people to see their performances than ever before whilst ensuring plenty of fresh air for their audiences.  The two operas being shown at this year’s festival are:
Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’ will be performed on 4, 5, 7, 8 & 10 August
Mozart’s ‘Don Giovanni will be performed on 19, 21, 22, 24 & 25 August

To book tickets please vist [www.nevillholtopera.co.uk

Prices starting at £35 for Lawn Tickets, with options also to beat the weather in a covered grandstand.
Whilst it may seem daunting to those of you who live far away Nevill Holt is very easy to access via the M1/M6/A14 and A1 and trains too and from London and Birmingham arrive and depart at times that will suit a day trip to the Opera!!

You can either book a table in the restaurant or some people bring their own picnic, set up their picnic rug on the lawn on arrival, and bag a great spot in the gardens for their interval picnic. If you’ve reserved a table in the restaurant, it will be available to you throughout the whole duration of your visit. A cash champagne bar is available when the grounds are open.

The bell will be rung to give you plenty of time to return to the performance and get settled before the curtain goes up.

The operas are performed in two halves, with a long dining interval in the middle. (60 to 90 minutes). This is when most people enjoy their supper – wherever they have chosen to have it. It’s also a great opportunity to grab a programme and guide to the sculpture, or collar the head gardener to ask him for tips on how to get that border *just right*. Or you can just relax and enjoy the glorious surroundings.
There will be an opportunity for British Art Portfolio friends to have an early entrance into the gardens where you will be able to view the sculptures, which are truly wonderful. - works not to be missed include those by Nic Fiddian Green,  Antony Gormley, Allen Jones, Marc Quinn, Conrad Shawcross, Sean Henry and most recently Turner prizewinner, Rachel Whiteread’s Chicken shed.

We look forward to seeing you there!!

Our grateful thanks for this collaboration must go to the Nevill Holt Opera team.

With best wishes,
Louise & Amanda
