The Mayor's Pick of the Week: Meat trays meet their match

Make no mi-steak, plastic meat trays that are numbers 1, 2 and 5 can now be recycled! Wellington’s recycling facility Oji Fibre Solutions is now the proud owner of an optical sorter, capable of diverting over seven million meat and other clear plastic trays from the region’s landfills and overseas processors each year. COVID-19 accessible vaccination events

If you have a disability, impairment or long-term health condition, there are accessible COVID-19 vaccination events happening around the region over the next few weeks. Accessible events will have longer appointment times, more space, information in large print, NZSL interpreters, plus low-sensory environments. Wellington Free Ambulance’s Onesie Day annual appeal is taking place this 2-4 September.
