Backpack Blessing & back to school bash - August 22 plan to stay after the service and party. Bring your lunch, some yard games, towels & sun screen. Kids bring your swimsuits. There will be blowup bouncy house, sprinklers, and yard games. Meg is getting a slushie machine. Bring a pop-up awning if you have one and we will set up on the east side of the building and have a grand afternoon.
Youth Sunday - Beginning in September the first Sunday of the month will be set as Youth Sunday. On that Sunday, as many youth as wish to will serve in the service. After the service, everyone is invited to stay for an activity or lesson. While it will be geared toward our younger members, everyone is invited to attend. Meg will kick things off on September 5. In October, we would like to go to Missouri Town for their fall festival. After that, we would like to invite anyone interested to sign-up to teach one month. Topics can include food, clothing, housing during Jesus time, why church doors are red, Christmas/advent activities, Easter/Lent activities, your favorite Bible story, etc.. Let us know if you would be interested in providing the program some time.
