A message from Daniel Lackenby

To all NBUFC members, sponsors and supporters

I have recently notified the Football Department, Committee and Playing Group that I will be stepping down as Senior Coach at the end of the 2021 Season.

I believe the time is right and I must prioritise my health and family, particularly in the short term.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to lead this great club and for the relationships I’ve been able to form in my 7 years at the NBUFC. I am super proud of what we have been able to achieve over the past 4 years. The transition from Div2 to Div1 was never going to be an easy one but I truly believe the NBUFC is now a genuine Div1 Football Club. The future looks exciting and I look forward to seeing the young talent continue to develop and achieve the sustained success we have planned for.

Thank you to all who have helped myself and the club over the past 4 years, we really are blessed with amazing talent and volunteers.

I’m excited to finish off the season strongly over the next three weeks and wish the NBUFC and it’s community nothing but success in the future.

A message from NBUFC

As a club, we want to say thank you to Daniel for his amazing contribution over the last 7 years. He has been an integral part of our club’s development on and off the field. He has contributed as a reserves coach, an assistant in our senior premiership and most notably, as our senior coach who has successfully transitioned the club from Div 2 to Div 1 football.

His football knowledge and experience is invaluable and he has given the job everything. He deeply cares for the individuals that he coaches and has pushed the group to reach their ability.

Football is only just really a part of it. Daniel’s reach goes far beyond the field and he has made a real impression on all of us in different ways.

At the end of his tenure, he leaves a young group full of potential and the club in a really healthy position.

Thanks again Lackers.
We wish you all the best for you and your families future.

Coaching Sub-Commitee

It is important to note, that we have now formed a Coaching Sub-Committee who will be exploring all avenues to find the best coach to lead our club forward and in the best direction possible. This committee will be made up of Bronte Hough, Mark Jaensch, Tony Fielke & Russell Godson. We will provide more updates about the process in due course.
