Celebration of Life Alan (Butch) Eugene Cowden, Jr. August 5, 1956 - July 28, 2021
Butch Cowden, 64 of Hastings, Minnesota, passed away at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis with his mother at his side. His dad (Alan) and brother (David) were waiting for him as he entered heaven.
He left behind his daughter Mikayla (Edwin), son Alan III (Holly), mother Darlene, sisters Sandy (Chuck), Suzi (Dave) and precious grandchildren Kaiden, Graceson and Kailoni and sister-in-law Jane Cowden.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a city of Hastings employee, a proud volunteer with Amber Alert, supported countless benefits and loved socializing with people.
He loved his precious grandchildren, grilling and riding his motorcycle.
A funeral service will be held at Resurrection United Methodist Church in Hastings on Thursday, August 5, 2021, with Pastor Mark Miller presiding. Visitation is from 10:00–11:00 a.m.. Service begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by an honor guard. Lunch immediately following at the church.
