The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. In partnership with MPD, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Washington Field Division has offered an additional $25,000 and the FBI Washington Field Office has offered an additional $10,000 bringing the total reward amount to $60,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects in this case. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the department’s TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.
We are easing our way back into production with a staged reading of John Guare's, Six Degrees of Separation on July 23, with an eye to a possible future full production. Eleven actors
will take the Anacostia Playhouse stage before our first live audience since March 2020. Come help us celebrate this kickoff production directed by artistic director Stephawn Stephens and featuring
some Playhouse favorites as well as lots of new faces on our stage.

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Paulette Wilson, who was last seen in the 100 block of Michigan Avenue, Northwest on Friday, June 11, 2021. This incident was reported on June 12, 2021.
Paulette Wilson is described as a black female, 5’6” in height, 120 pounds, with brown eyes and long blonde and black hair in braids. She was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black jeans, white shoes with black designs on them, and carrying a white and black checkered bag.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday, July 19, 2021, in the 1600 block of Gales Street, Northeast.
At approximately 7:42 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found no signs consistent with life. The decedent remained on the scene until being transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The decedent has been identified as 41-year-old Theodore Dewayne Riley, Jr., of Southeast, DC.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, July 16, 2021, in the 2300 block of Good Hope Road, Southeast.
At approximately 8:31 pm, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. The suspects brandished firearms and demanded US currency from the register. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene with US currency and property.
