Please Be Patient & Carpool to School
The Marvin Village Council and Staff know how difficult these first few days of school have been for parents and residents caught in school traffic.

Please be patient and carpool if you can. It will take time for the schools to adapt.
Happy Labor Day (Monday) - Village Hall Closed
The Marvin Village Council & Staff wishes everyone a relaxing Labor Day on Monday. Please note that Village Hall will be closed on Monday, September 6 in observance.
Tax Bills are Delinquent in January
2021 Tax Bills have been issued and will be delinquent in January. Union County will be collecting the Village's taxes from now on. You will receive one tax bill in the mail from Union County that itemizes your County and Local taxes.

The Marvin property tax rate for 2021 is unchanged from 2020, $0.06 per $100 of assessed value.

Marvin residents will see an additional charge of $61 on their tax bill. This charge is for solid waste and recycling services that will be provided for April, May, and June 2022.

Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for service hours? Want to make a difference in the community? We hope you will consider getting involved in the community by either serving on one of the Village's advisory boards or by volunteering at Marvin Efird Park.

Currently, there are the following board vacancies:
  • Parks, Recreation, and Greenways Board - 1 Seat
Attention Younger Residents (18+): Please volunteer! Serving on advisory boards or volunteering at the park is a great way to develop a resume and contribute to the community!

If you are interested in serving on board, please contact the Village Clerk. If you are interested in volunteering at Marvin Efird Park or other volunteer opportunities, please contact Parks and Recreation.

Drive Carefully
While driving through the Village, please watch for pedestrians and children at play. Be cognizant of pedestrians who may be crossing roadways near neighborhoods, schools, and walking trails.

By driving safely, we all help make our communities safer.

The Village of Marvin offers complimentary Notary Public services to Marvin residents. Our Notary Public on staff is Austin W. Yow, Village Clerk & Assistant to the Manager. Notary Public Services are by appointment only and are only offered to Marvin residents. Please email Austin to schedule an appointment.
