43 years later... We're still here, our mission is not complete. But now each year we are moving faster and faster towards the cures. Now we are hearing about and even seeing results. Because of research funded by Canadians through Riders & Friends of Ride for Sight, Scientists have a clearer understanding into many of the causes of blindness, needed treatments are being developed, and in some cases - sight has been restored.

There is still time to join Jerry and Cliff on the Canadian Fundraising Team. You don't need to have an incredible goal like Jerry - all fundraising through Ride for Sight is appreciated. Give it a try, you'll be surprised how easy it is. One share of your Personal Fundraising Page on your Facebook Page can motivate people to give.
Anyone raising $250 or more on their ONLINE Fundraising Page by August 1, will receive a Ride for Sight Flashlight Multi Tool.

Very sad news
out of Alberta.
In May, our Friend and past
Ride for Sight Alberta Volunteer, Judy Nevard, passed.
Our most sincere condolences to Judy's husband Ron, and all her family
and friends.
It was wonderful to see Alberta Riders out in force to pay their respects.

The financial burden to our Canadian health care system, individuals, families, and communities is in the billions. Three out of four, if diagnosed early can stabilize their sight with "research-delivered treatments" available today!
We’re calling on all Riders and Canadians to join us in the fight against blindness. We’re demanding of the government - fulfill a commitment, made 3 times since 2003 - develop a National Vision Health Plan.
Do this, before another person unnecessarily goes blind!

Due to the many approvals required from the local municipalities and health authorities, and on-site logistics planning, if we are able to open the Celebration up to more Riders - it will be to a very limited number
and it will still be based on a Pre-Registration entry also.
