TVAA Artists are being called to bring the color Orange to life. Love it or hate it, orange will get your attention! As the color most associated with the season of fall, from pumpkins to falling leaves, the theme for TVAA at Nampa Civic Center is right on time opening October 2021. However, orange can have many other cultural connotations; from safety cones and prison jumpsuits, to Dutch royalty, or Hindu and Buddhist robes. Differing shades of orange lend themselves too high energy imagery or warm glowing sunsets. A few fun facts about Orange; In Optics, orange has a wavelength between approximately 585 and 620 nanometers and a hue of 30° in HSV color space. The word orange comes from the Arabic word Naranj. The Golden Gate Bridge is painted a shade called International Orange for its high visibility. And finally orange juice is the most popular juice in America!

DOWNTOWN BOISE ASSOCIATION

Downtown Boise Association has released a survey designed to inform DBA's ongoing strategic planning initiative and to get a better understanding of how people are interfacing with Downtown Boise today. With DBA’s 35th anniversary approaching in 2022, we plan to reflect upon what you love today while we look forward to the future of downtown. We also want to hear about what isn’t working for you or what you wish was happening in Downtown Boise. This is your downtown, we appreciate your voice!

Avianne International Gallery of Fine Art/ IGFA

This exhibition is open for entry to all American based artists as we are seeking to provide American artists with a fun, high caliber, yet inclusive way to represent their art in a physical boutique style fine art gallery, focused on reaching and engaging art collectors and buyers from our local community and beyond.

“American Beauty” is open for your artistic interpretation. What does America mean to you? What inspires you about being an artist who lives and work in the USA? We are specifically looking for work that has an American theme. A fall or winter theme would be great too. We sell traditional as well as contemporary art that is engaging, family friendly, positive, unique and enjoyable. Abstract, representational American landscapes, holiday themed still lives and figurative work would all be great.
