Sue Collins

For the next 3-weeks we are delighted to feature the beautiful lino-cut prints and mixed media works of Sue Collins conveying her love for living in Sussex and its countryside. Sue says, "From the back of my house I can see the South Downs and the Jack and Jill windmills at Clayton. I have so many inspirational things around me I find that there aren't enough hours in the day to draw and print as much as I would like." Read more about her work in Sue's blog.

Our Summer Exhibition continues showcasing our summery artworks accompanied by our wonderful Guests. Read more about these talented artists on their artist pages Jackie GwytherKitty McCurdy and Alison Crowe and our blogs.

FREE PRIZE DRAW We are delighted to announce the winner of our Artists Open House draw to win a £100 voucher. Congratulations to Julia of Shoreham-by-Sea who has now been informed and we look forward to welcoming her back to spend her prize in the near future.

ARTWAVE FESTIVAL Looking ahead with much excitement to this year's festival (11th to 26th September) as is our tradition at Chalk, we will be hosting something special in the gallery to welcome festival visitors and embrace the wider community. We are delighted to announce that our theme for this year's Artwave is WAVES and we are asking under 18's living in Sussex to send us their WAVES on a postcard to help create what we hope will be an outstanding display in the gallery. For more details, please see the information below and follow the hashtag #chalkgalleryartwaves.

COVID-19 update - although there has been a relaxation to government restrictions this week, we will be maintaining the COVID- safety measures, strongly encouraging both our visitors and artists to continue to use a face covering, use sanitiser and social distance etc in order to respect the safety of everyone.
