 I hope you're doing OK on this first day of lockdown! I'll keep it short as my kids are already fighting in the next room.. actually they were very good this morning as I prepped my teaching materials.
This pic was posted on Facebook and made me laugh - you have to, don't you? Given these swift changes, it's crazy to think a bunch of us were in Tasmania only 2 weeks ago!
As you know, choir next Monday will be cancelled, but now that you have your Christmas music, it's a great opportunity to get started on one of the pieces.
This week's singing homework: Long-Expected Dawn
Singing is such a great thing to do, especially in lockdown. Singing helps to lift the spirits and focus on something beautiful.
With your score handy, please watch the tutorial for Long-Expected Dawn on our website (Member Login > Tutorials), which we did as a virtual choir last year.
What's Happening Beyond Monday?
The committee will virtually meet on Monday to discuss the plans moving forward, as hopefully by then there will be more state-wide announcements. We'll be in touch after that to communicate the next part of this adventure.
In the meantime, I hope you can keep connected and find the positives in lockdown. Let's hope it's only 7 days!
