A little gratitude goes a long way

There’s something about an English summer heatwave that makes me think about what I’m thankful for (ice cream, air conditioning, shade…).
 
Yet gratitude has a serious side too - it is a way of connecting team members, of making hard times easier and making us all a bit kinder. I can’t count the number of times when a simple thank you has made my day.
 
Though it sounds obvious, it’s remarkable how often leaders don’t show their staff appreciation, usually because they’re run off their feet. Yet there are ways to build it into your leadership style, as we examine in this week’s blog.
