We hope this information is useful for you. Do get in touch if you have questions, comments or ideas about any of the items in this newsletter, or anything else to do with the Earls Court Business Forum.
London Wonderground
London Wonderground is now open! This provides an opportunity for local businesses to benefit from additional visitors to Earl’s Court, putting our area back on the map as a destination for Londoners. Earl's Court Film Fest are screening 'The Best of the Fest' on the site on Monday 26th July, with ticket proceeds going to charity. More info about London Wonderground here.
The Earl’s Court Community Fund
The Earls Court Community Fund has been launched by the Earls Court Development Company, with £180,000 available to bid for in the first year. This is to ensure that local charities, community groups and others continue to see a real and immediate positive benefit from their involvement in the local area. They are asking for volunteers from the community to join the selection panel which will review and decide on the applications. See here for further details on how to apply for funding or for information on how to join the selection panel.
Guidance for venues on 'checking in'
UK Government suggest that venues should continue to ask customers to 'check in' to help stop the spread of Covid-19. While cases are high and rising, everybody needs to continue to act carefully and remain cautious. You can find all the key information of Covid precautions to keep in place here.
Pavement cleaning
Pleasure Gardens
Earl’s Court Business Forum commissioned an additional deep clean of pavements in June, paid for by a successful application to the council’s NCIL fund. Thank you to local businesses who inputted to the application and helped identify the key areas for cleaning.
The Pleasure Garden at Warwick Road is part of K&C Art Trail. We welcome a meanwhile use of the space, attracting visitors to Earl’s Court. ECDC are inviting proposals for use of the space this autumn following the installation More info about KCAW.
