Ask God to provide workers for the harvest among the Libyan communities in North Africa. Many of them are displaced from their homeland. Pray that Libyans may have opportunities to encounter the Gospel.

Team Expansion Worker
Ask God to give Brittany Brackbill patience and wisdom with a church relationship. Pray for time with the Lord to work through feelings/healing/forgiveness and then to have a Godly conversation. Pray for wisdom and discernment in the process of determining a field for her Quest apprenticeship.

Pray for More Workers
Ask the Lord of the Harvest to thrust out 2500 new workers by the end of 2022. Ask for 2200 from global sending bases and 300 from the U.S.

The Nghari people believe that if they hike to the top of the highest mountain (15,000ft high) in their land they will be “born again.” Would you join us in praying for one worker to go to the Nghari people and show them that being “born-again” is not dependent on being fit enough to hike a 15,000 foot mountain, but on the faithfulness of Jesu?
 

Nghari Tibetans in China

Different yet similar! The inhabitants of the Nghari region are also known as the Chang Tang (Northern Plain) Tibetans. Although they are ethnically Tibetan, they speak a language far removed from other Tibetan varieties. Their lifestyles have changed little over the last thousand years and are still devoid of any technology or machinery.

Ministry Obstacles
They believe that immersion in one of two holy lakes south of Mount Kailas will release people from their sins for a lifetime. Pilgrims who trek to the top of the 5,640-meter-high Dolma Pass are believed to be born again in the process. Folk Tibetans believe in a hell divided into eight hot and eight cold levels. Sinners are made to suffer until they have worked off their demerits. Such beliefs do not allow for a sinless savior who is the only gateway to the Almighty.

Outreach Ideas
Believers can start with the worldview of the Nghari Tibetan people and use it as a beginning point to show that Yahweh has a far better plan for us.

"Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, The Lord will surely separate me from his people; and let not the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree."  Isaiah 56:3

Scripture Prayer
Pray that many from today’s people group will put all their hope in the Lord.

Prayer Focus
Pray that the 2020s would be the decade of a Disciple Making Movement among every Tibetan subgroup, including the Ngharis. Pray for a hunger for spiritual truth and a willingness to seek and find answers in Christ. Pray for the Lord to raise up his ambassadors to the Nghari Tibetans.
