Life Reminders in Sidewalk Chalk

Early pandemic shopping lists included toilet paper, hand sanitizer, disinfectant, bread, and chalk. At least that’s how it appeared to me. When our neighborhood parks closed down, our sidewalk artists stepped right up.

The earliest chalk walks we came upon were in children’s handprinting and urged us to stay active by doing the usual hopscotch and much more.

We have a high level of vaccination in the State of Washington, and we are still in a pandemic where good health and safety habits are still important.

Individuals who are fully vaccinated (series of shots + 2 weeks) are no longer required to wear a mask at church. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are still required to wear a mask at church. Some individuals who are vaccinated are choosing to remain masked because of unvaccinated family members.
