Werriwa eNewsletter

23 July 2021

Dear <<First Name>>.

Thank you to everyone for what you are doing to keep our community safe. The Premier has today called the situation in Sydney as a National Emergency. Unfortunately even though we have been lockdown for more than four weeks, people who are infectious in the community continues to be very high. This is the nature of the Delta variant of COVID-19 we have in the community.

The Premier is asking for everyone to seek a vaccine. I will be following up availability because I know this has been an issue in our area since vaccinations began. The link is below to make an appointment or you can speak to your GP to see if they can help with the vaccine.

COVID-19 Vaccinations in NSW

The Chief Medical Officer gave details today about the difference the vaccine can make to the spread and health of people who are unfortunately infected; so please consider doing what you can to get vaccine.

If you need someone to talk to, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14, Suicide Callback on 1300 659 467 or Beyond Blue on 1300 224 636.

Kind Regards

Anne

Workers are not required to wait for a negative test result but must carry proof of the test, such as an SMS or email.

You do not need a referral to receive a COVID-19 test.
